The Heathman Hotel’s collection includes signed editions from seven Nobel Prize winners, 14 Pulitzer Prize winners, and five U.S. Poet Laureates. 2,000 volumes of the hotel’s 4,000+ volume library are displayed in custom-made cases in the Mezzanine Library, each signed by the authors who were overnight guests. A dedicated staff member manages the collection and works with Powell’s Books to operate one of the few cataloged hotel libraries in the country. The library has been featured in the news on several occasions including National Geographic Intelligent Traveler Portland’s Unique Boutique Hotel. The Heathman Hotel now offers you the chance to cozy up for an evening of relaxation and reading by enjoying our "Books by Your Bedside" package. This imaginative and delightful package gives you the opportunity to escape to a world of drama, action, comedy or romance - while enjoying a book written by an author that has stayed in the same hotel and quite possibly the same room as you.
